Tonya Evans, M.Ed., BCBA

Connections’ director Tonya Evans earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology at Georgia State University. In 2007, she received a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education with an emphasis in Autism from the University of Washington, and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Tonya has previously worked as an Educational Autism Consultant at TRIAD (Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and as the Manager of the Extended Day Autism Preschool Program at Phantom Lake Elementary in Bellevue School District.

Currently, Tonya has started a private early intervention service in which she plays the role of educational director, consultant, and service provider. She also works on a research project with the University of Washington collaborating with Nancy Rosenberg, Ilene Schwartz, and the Lake Washington School District looking at Kindergarten and 1st grade students with Autism and peer relationships.
