Social Skills in the natural settings

 

A social group designed to teach children with social delays appropriate social, community, and leisure skills to help them make and maintain friendships. Children will learn and practice skills in a variety of locations to increase generalization of skills to natural settings and promote successful peer interactions and community skills.

 

·       Facilitated by trained professionals with BCBA and special education background

·       Instruction is behaviorally based

·       Progress is assessed based on individual goals which may include reciprocal conversations, cooperative play, conflict negotiation, and emotional regulation

·       Held at various locations including parks, skating rinks, bowling alleys, and museums

·       Groups are available in both Bellevue and Seattle

·       Currently scheduling Fall and school year sessions
